The information space represents a set of platforms through which citizens receive and distribute information. It includes traditional media, social networks, digital platforms, as well as public dialogues. . In a democratic society, a healthy information space is characterised by transparency, accuracy of information and diversity of opinions. However, when this space is polluted by manipulation, democracy, economic stability and social cohesion are threatened.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

The Republic of Moldova faces major challenges in this area. External actors, especially the Russian Federation, massively use multiple manipulation tactics to influence citizens’ perceptions, with the aim of weakening trust in state institutions and undermining the country’s democratic and European path. The erosion of national unity is a permanent target of information attacks as well.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

To address these threats, the Centre takes a proactive and strategic approach. Building information resilience means not only reacting to manipulations, but also reinforcing society’s capacity to resist these attacks, by identifying vulnerabilities and developing communication strategies that deal with them directly.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

In a complex global and regional context, Moldova’s information space represents a battlefield for influence. Maintaining a safe and healthy information space is imperative for protecting democracy, ensuring economic stability, and supporting the country’s strategic objectives.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

The Centre plays a vital role in protecting this space and in building a well-informed, united and resilient society, capable of facing hybrid challenges.
